COUNTERSENSE is a choreographic, physical, and visual theatre piece.

It confronts us—through a sensory journey—with our very existence, exploring the borderlands between life and death within an imaginary society where mechanisation drains the spirit to the point of extinction.

This piece acts as a revealer of solitude, of estrangement from oneself and from Others.

How can one remain true to oneself and exist in society with the omnipresence of technology?

How can we resist the artificial?

The story begins with an ordinary day in the life of CARA, a secretary at the Department of Culture in the city of "Namdal."

She spends eight hours a day in her "mobile-office," which is physically attached to her body. She leaves her desk, crosses the bustling city, and returns home.

An unexpected event disrupts her life and draws us into a vertiginous journey with her—into Hades, far beyond anything previously imaginable.

Is this death, or is it life?

One thing is certain: it is the unknown

This piece has been supported by Culture Moves Europe.

Running time: 55min

Suitable for Age 12+

Warnings: Completely darkness during 1 - 2 minutes.
