What's on/Brighton Fringe 2022/Antarctica: This Magical Place
This one man show showcases Antarctica in all its glory with spectacular visual images of scenery and wildlife both stills and video with an emphasis on the environmental impact of climate change, a visual theatre experience using the Edwardian explorer Captain Scott to tell the story of its 120 years of exploration and discoveries.
Captain Scott’s tragic expedition and subsequent legacy have established this vast continent as a constant light in the life of our planet. He takes us through the ages and gives an insight to the valuable climate that is Antarctica. One we need to protect for future generations.
This is a World Premiere of 'Artarctica: This Magical Place'. This production follows producer Trevor Hodgson's life time obsession with Scott of the Antarctic and a recent opportunity to visit the historic huts on Ross Island and take in the atmosphere of this untamed wilderness.
Trevor Hodgson has been involved in award winning shows for Henfield Theatre Company (Brighton & Hove Arts Council):
Best Set Design & Adjudicators Award for The Government Inspector
Nominated Best Actor: Trevor Hodgson for Brighton Beach Memoirs
Best Production for One Man Two Guvnors
