ROCKSTAR
What would you do to become a star?
Suitable for Age 15 +
Would you betray your lover? Would you lie about who you are? How far would you go to become a star?
Rockstar is a new musical which follows the fortunes of two singer-songwriters, Jack and Billy. On the advice of their agent, they agree to conceal their relationship and recruit a female singer. Mara’s presence catapults the band into the public eye, but it also causes romantic and creative tensions which threaten to tear the band apart. Under pressure from their agent, each of them must decide what they are prepared to sacrifice in order to achieve success.
Dealing with themes of bi-erasure and the pressures of being in the public eye, Rockstar is an exciting and moving musical for everyone who ever wondered if their favourite band members were secretly involved.
