Spit It Out

A new queer comedy about Emily navigating the challenges of coming out as trans to her family, friends, and workplace.

Suitable for Age 16 +

Emily doesn't know how to come out as a trans woman to her bigoted boss, ignorant family, and toxic dating pool. The longer she takes to  come out, the greater the strain grows on her closest friendship.  Whatever happens, one terrible inevitability approaches fast: Emily seems doomed to end up alone.

Spit It Out is the new play written by Alice K. Stephens (Creative Writing PhD candidate, University of Essex) and directed by Noah Alfred Pantano (Standing On A Nail, Two Come Home). The play stars trans  actress Willow MacDonald (PECs, 11 Miles) as Emily. Joe Eason (Two Come Home), Jamie Coenen, and Isobel Sheard (The S is Silent) accompany MacDonald to play a cascade of characters who complicate  Emily's coming out.

Warnings: Strobe, Haze, Transphobia, Sexual Content, Reference to Rape and Self-Harm.
