The Only Drummer In Town

Suitable for All Ages

It's the final of the Little Abingdon Band Competition. The pressure is on: the winner gets an opening slot at the big local festival and airplay at 2am on regional radio. And dreams of major stardom, of course. With three bands through to the final, tensions are high...particularly so when we realise they all share the same drummer...

The inner monologue of a working drummer, drummer/storyteller Paul Richards delves deep into the edgy world of local bands, their aspirations and the bond music gives, even for those who thoroughly dislike each other.

REVIEWS

★★★★★ The Scotsman (on Harvey Greenfield is Running Late)

"Like an alternative Ferris Bueller…the escalating web of chaos is skilfully scripted in the vein of a classic film comedy."

Highly Recommended - FringeReview (on Harvey Greenfield is Running Late)

"Paul Richards brings energy in abundance and charmingly, wittily, tells his tale, but the tale is a cautionary one : ignore strains upon your mental health at your peril. It is most definitely a Fringe show for our times."

The Scotsman (on Harvey Greenfield is Getting Married)

”There are no number of stars that can describe spending an hour with the explosive bundle of nervous energy that is Harvey Greenfield AKA Paul Richards…a fascinating continuation of an ongoing on-stage off-stage saga.”
