Wine & Hotdogs
'Wine & Hotdogs' explores the relationship between two teenagers, AMY and TERRY, as they learn what it means to love and bare your soul for the first time.
Suitable for Age 14 +
Wine and Hotdogs follows the ups and downs of a relationship between two teenagers, AMY and TERRY, who come from very different worlds, but are drawn together through their love of poetry and spoken word. The play follows these two characters as they learn what it means to love and bare your soul for the first time; touching on issues surrounding drugs, class, toxic masculinity and sexual assault, it also looks at the repercussions of such experiences as they become young adults.
This piece of theatre was born out of a love of poetry and spoken word and how these can overcome boundaries and describe some of the most profound moments of our lives. With help of lighting design and an exploration of words through movement, Dead Poets Theatre Company hopes to bring this passion to life to tell a very human and relevant story.
