AK Golding’s debut solo show, INTO THE PIT, is an anarchic coal-mining cabaret that drags you headfirst into the grit, graft and glory of coal’s past. Part family history, part identity crisis, AK digs into what it means to come from a working class mining family while being a queer, neurodiverse theatre-making millennial. Expect high-octane skits, surreal character monologues, clowning, Billy Elliot spoofs, shadow puppets and original show tunes in a chaotic whistle-stop tour of the mining industry in the UK. Come into the pit and see if you can help bring a little light to the dark.

Running time: 45min

REVIEWS

★★★★ A Young-ish Perspective (For OUTLAWED)

"The Sheriff of Nottingham, played by AK Golding, completely stole it for me. Their comic timing was spot on and they had this way of pulling the audience in with just a look. Every expression landed perfectly, both ridiculous and magnetic."
